Doungdao Verdins, or Fon, is the Papaya Riga Asian Cuisine masterclass chef, and as a result of our mutual friendship, she has become the CESARS Thai Cuisine Ambassador!
Fon grew up in Thailand in a family of chefs and restaurateurs, where she learned Chinese and Thai gastronomic traditions. Fon’s childhood was spent in the kitchens of her mother's, grandmother's and aunt's restaurants, where she was introduced to the flavours of fresh produce and how to use them in dishes.
Fon has been living in Latvia for 5 years already and she actively promotes Thai cuisine here.
